Highlighting the difference between civilian and military life
In January 2013, the Foundation created the first of three Two Worlds exhibitions. Exhibition Two called ‘Transitions was held in January 2014 and the final exhibition will be in October/November 2014. The Two Worlds project highlights the difference between civilian and military life. It aims to develop services and initiatives that ensure our community veterans receive the recognition for their past dedication to service, but also have access to services and support networks that are vital to support them in their time of need.
The project was conceived and created by Town and Country Foundation, who continue to give support and guidance, helping with marketing, arranging events and funding applications. It is also directly linked to a social enterprise, Veterans Awareness Ltd, and other charities including the RBLI and Combat Stress.
TCHG signed the TWBC Community Covenant in July 2013 and committed to join the STOLL National Housing Nomination Scheme in September 2013. In 2014, we will be working on providing veteran specific housing options.
